Date August 1, 2008

Alzheimer memory walk

Are you ready to give back to the community? Get ready to spark up your day and that too by joining the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. The walk is an emblem of honors for patients who have or are suffering from Alzheimers.  The disease continues to be one of the largest spreading disease in the nation, and to show some love for such patients, you can join the memory walk. If not, atleast spread the word about it!

What exactly is purpose  the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk?

The memory walk’s sole purpose is to raise awareness, raise funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. The walk calls on volunteers of all ages and become a part of this fight against Alzheimer’s. Best of all, this walk isn’t taking place in one place or one community, rather it takes its place in more than 600 communities. A typical memory walk is about 2-3 miles, which is held on a weekend morning in the fall.

Join this memory walk, as you and me can move the nation closer in fighting against Alzheimers. Folks, today Alzheimer has affected one of the members in our community, tomorrow it can affect us or someone in our family, therefore it is crucial we raise awareness and find the right solutions. If you aren’t able to participate in a walk, just spread the word at the least!
