Make life changes- sleep on the floor
July 15, 2009
Waking up, doing your work, keeping yourself motivated in tough times can be a real challenge. Lately, I’ve been gearing my life toward one motto: Living life in simplicity. In other words, I randomly pick out my habits and make them as simple as possible. So, for example, if I eat very lavish and tasty food, I cut it down by eating more simpler form. However, the part that I want to focus on is - sleeping on the floor.
Now, I know, many of you probably never sleep on the floor and never really want to. However, there are so many benefits to it and they clearly include the following: Waking up early, sleeping only the amount that you truly need to recover from tiredness, and no need to purchase a bed.
If you are struggling in these hard economic times, I highly suggest you get out there and evaluate your daily consumption and activities. Today, I woke up at 4 when I slept at like 11 or so. Let me tell you something, that has never happened to me when I used to sleep on the bed. I am seeing change and I don’t see one bit of a reason on why you can’t see that change. Just understand one thing: If you can think about it, you can do it, except you need to make that initiative. It is absolutely not the right time to get loose.

What happens if you don’t have a floor to sleep on?

Good article, and you’re right, sleeping on the floor is nice. But how can you wake up at 4am is you go to bed at 11pm? I sleep on the floor for already a year now, I put my sleeping bag on the stone floor, and a pillow for my head, but I sleep so comfortable and warm at night, and in the weekends never wake up before 10am even when I go to bed at 11pm..
Sleeping on the floor is the best, just try to live without furniture, sleep on the floor, and you can live easily in a small room you rent for little money in a house with shared facilities.. Cost very little money, so you don’t need a fulltime job..
Living simple is giving up the standard level of comfort, but gives you much more freedom to enjoy life =)
