Microsoft secretly favors Ubuntu?

Date June 22, 2007

Most of us by now know that Microsoft isn’t a very big fan of Ubuntu nor does it really like it until now. We also know that their rivalry has long since started and its end would most likely not come unless something miraculous occurs. Well, recently, Microsoft on its Window’s Marketplace broadcast Ubuntu Linux. Of course, the happy moments had abruptly turned evil and Microsoft took the product off. The funny part was that Google cache recorded the site and what not so it was found out that about 10,000 people had access to downloading Ubuntu relocated from Microsoft into CNET’s downloads.

What’s even funnier?

Recognition for Ubuntu Linux among Microsoft.

Well, Microsoft not only promoted its adversary, but it also recognized it’s potential and power. In a brief but creative description, Microsoft shows how good Linux really is. The picture above shows exactly how Microsoft recognized Ubuntu and everything that it offers. Personally, I never really tried Linux and switching to a new operating system sounds like a lot work! So what more? Microsoft said some “inaccurate” things about Linux. They said that it has no limitations in their descriptions; where in reality, the redistribution does actually have a restriction and limitations declared by the GPL.

Want to see the errors of Microsoft and their “lies”???
Limitations on redistribution do cease to exist.
