Myspace expanding…again with TV.

Date June 28, 2007

Just a little while ago, Myspace brought us Myspace IM, but now, our rowdy friend has brought us good ole’ TV. Seems like Myspace likes to expand upon its financial growth. Now the question remains to distinguish which site offers better videos, Youtube or Myspace. With Google fighting now with both Myspace and Microsoft, it may seem that the Search Giant just might capture the monopoly Microsoft once had held dear. If you think about it, Google already dominates a good portion of search engines, even Yahoo, and now, its buying everything like its recent purchase of Feedburner. Our fate relies in the hands of companies that we may not trust, Google could later prove to be another Microsoft.

More with the MyspaceTV, it just came out today and seems like its just another Youtube. MyspaceTV will launch branded channels internationally as we speak. So far, its going to be in 15 international territories. Coincidentally, Youtube just HAPPENED to launch its service in 9 other countries. Funny how major companies usually tend to just copy one another as soon as they see something appealing.

What will MyspaceTV offer than typical clips?

Sony signed a deal with the company for five-minute “minisodes” of 1980s comedies such as Silver Spoons and Diff’rent Strokes. MySpace will probably promote content from its owner News Corporation and the Fox TV network as another alternative. So you see kids, big companies make their money by plagiarizing sponsoring from more than one source. Seems legal. Since their also gaining from National Geographic, The New York Times, and Reuters, it would all be fair.

So check out MyspaceTv today!
