Online college classes- Not so easy

Date June 2, 2008

what?

Not many of you really care about what I am taking, as you only care what grade I get and what I get. I know I am a slacker, but I am improving and trying to make everything easy for you folks. Cooperation is all I need. Anyways, a while back I made a minuscule announcement on what I was taking (Macroeconomics online), and was happy with the fact that my class was online and unknowingly easy.

Guess what?

Online classes aren’t as easy as you think, simply because I believe they have lifted the standards on grading. The tests are actually hard, work is graded on a stringent grading scale, and they are strict. The class even has a rubric on a DISCUSSION!. How do you grade someone on an opinion? Well, there are ways and apparently I was closing to failing that assignment.

Moreover, the sad fact is that I don’t know if I’ll get an A. But, staying on the positive side, I’ll just adjust my goals in that class :D. Luckily, I’ve been getting some good chunk of help from ravs, so high five for ravs. Also, what sucks is I missed an extra credit quiz, gee I am dropping myself lower and lower. How? I forgot.

Perhaps, the glory days of online classes are gone. The standards are way different than what they used to be, so if you think you can a degree online by doing nothing, think again. The class does offer a time flexibility, but it is still really time consuming.

I think you are better off taking on campus, as you won’t have to strive for discipline and spend equivalent amount of time.
