These are quotes which can be used when writing essays, long research papers, and perhaps, just use them for fun. One thing to keep in mind is, using a variety of quotes in an essay can really make the paper effervescent just because it adds like a solid base to the paper, and backs up by actual philosophers, researchers, etc.

Also, note that many of these quotes do fall in different category such as humor, philosophy, etc.

“Second place just means first loser.”  - Kevin Costner

“Cross- Country skiing is great if you live in a small country” - Steven Wright

“Just because someone has fancy sneakers doesn’t mean they can run faster” - Jon Bon Jovi

“A boo is a lot louder than a cheer” - Lance Armstrong

Using these quotes here and there will help you make your work more professional, and detailed. A quote can definitely make that difference. The expectation that is.
