Well, it took me long enough as I was bombarded with two candidates who wanted me to qualify them for slacker of the month, and it seems Ravi Gupta- the gangsta’ online named Ravs has taken the spot. The other candidate- will be mentioned later, as he is a pretty good slacker.
Quickly speculating over his personal blog, Ravs, I see is a 18 year old, with a lot of high ambitions. He has recently updated his blog, as well his about page, so here are the details below.
I’m very ambitious about setting out to see the world. Intended Majors are currently: Finance, and Business Administration, and with these degrees I hope to become a CPA for Citi Bank, and hopefully make my way up to Finance Manager.
Ravs is very dedicated to school, as he takes one of the highest level of courses offered in school, AP. AP simply stands for Advanced Placement and he is currently enrolled in bunch of AP’s, which includes macroeconomics, English, Computer Science AB, and some other which he doesn’t want to disclose. Probably physics, or biology.
All the above information is listed on his blog, so none of is made up.
How Do I know Ravs?
I met him in middle school, and long story short, we were in same computer science class last year 07.
How is this gangsta’ a slacker? I see he is taking all these hard classes … but?? how.??
He is a really good friend, as he is a top notch slacker. People sometimes questioned him how he passed without doing his homework, but he had the answer and the damn grades to make it in the top 10% of the school. This kid has a habit of sharing his bagels, and never eating cream cheese, so he is a giver. He doesn’t believe in homework, and still gets the grades. Now, I can’t reveal the secret on how he gets those grades, but one of them is talking it out with the teachers.
Also, he plays alot of video games. He did get pretty good at Unreal tournament, as he always squeezed 10-15 mins a day in school to play unreal in class, even during tests. He is an avid player in Counter Strike- you can always ask him about the story of how we got better. What more? This kid doesn’t have an history of doing actual work because he has a philosophy of why? He questions on why we should do it. Why ?? He is quite an advanced soul, since he knows that there is more than work in this life. In addition, this slacker generates a nice hefty income online because he hates workin’. Again, why work?
How can he do this?
Going through his about page, I was disappointed he didn’t put me as a good friend. I always thought I was a good influence on him. Well, who cares for the name, it’s all the thought he has on me about being a good influence on him. This slacker doesn’t carry a binder, its all a mish mash in his back pack.
He is currently employed at compusa, so congrats to him. This man never gives up. That’s a quality of a slacker- don’t do work, but still get there. Slackers do work, but with their own unique style.
